Badies from Gallifrey  Reply with quote

Villans from Gallifrey:

The Master: One of a host of Time Lords who attended the Prydon Academy under the tutorship of Borusa. The Master eventually fled Gallifrey and its restrictive practices. Unlike the Doctor, however, the Master set out to use his hypnotic prowess and intellect to gain power, having little regard for the lives he destroyed to achieve his aims.

Having learned that the Doctors third incarnation had been exiled to earth, the Master sought out his old nemesis and proceeded to use a variety of alien life forms to attempt to destroy the planet. He rarely tried to kill the Doctor directly preferring to order others to do it for him. Whether this was some kind of safeguard to ensure the Doctor's survival seems unclear, but even in his latest inncarnations, he seems incapable of dealing that final fatal blow.

The Master's final incarnation had been prolonged for so long that his physical body delapidated into something that could barely maintain life. On a planet called Trakken the unsightly Master usurped the body of Tremus, the father of Nyssa who, at the time, was one of the Doctor's travelling companions.

It was in this guise, that the Master would wipe out half the known universe and hold the other half to ransom. The doctor however managed to stop him and gave up his fourth life to save the remaining half. Although the Doctor is his sworn enemy the Master is not averse to helping the doctor on ocasion in order to persue his own evil goals, indeed he saved the sixth doctor from his surely damning trial revealing that the Time matrix had been tampered with and that the Valeyard (the Doctor's prosecutor) was actually a twisted form of the doctor himself. On the planet of the cheetah people, the Master's DNA was tampered with and it is thought that he used this tampering to escape extermination by the Daleks on their home planet of Skaro. The daleks unwittingly conceded his last request allowing the Doctor to transport his remains back to their home planet Gallifrey. Little did they know that his genetically transformed remains could still cause havoc in the heart of the TARDIS causing the TARDIS to make an emergency landing on earth so that the Master could once more snatch a body, open the Tardis' eye of harmony and attempt to steal the Doctor's remaining regenerations.

Although the Doctor's seventh incarnation was killed in the attempt, the Master's plan was ultimately foiled by the Doctor and his new assistant and what was left of the Master was sucked into the heart of the Tardis' Structure. Whether or not the Master still survives therein, is yet to be determined.

Borusa: The Doctor's academy teacher and mentor, Borusa was one of the most respected and wise Time Lords to emerge from the Prydonian chapter. Fiercely loyal and pragmatic, Borusa was not adverse to altering the facts to fit a better record of history. A leading opponent of the Sontarans during their attempted invasion, his accesion from cardinal to chancellor ultimately lead to his presidency. However, even Borusa fell victim to the old adage that ulimate power corrupts, and as the secret knowledge of ancient Gallifrey's past became his by right of office, Borusa saw the opportunity to become president eternal. He played the game of Rassilon, unaware that it was a series of traps laid by rassilon to ensure no Time Lord could ever gain such a position. Ultimately. Borusa obtained his eternal existence, not as a flesh and blood president but as a living sculpture in rassilons tomb.

Omega: A contemporary of Rassilon, Omega was a temporal/solar engineer who made the ultimate sacrifice by detonating the black hole that empowered the Time lords ability to manipulate time. Believed long-dead, he in fact existed in a universe of Antimatter, embittered and malevolent. He twice attempted to return, regardless of the catastrophic effect this would have on the universe of matter.

The Monk: A renegade Time Lord whose motives in disturbing the web of time were no so much evil as amoral and selfish. After two meddling encounters with the Doctor's first incarnation, the Monk seems to have faded from sight.

Morbius: A time Lord criminal genius believed to be executed. His Brain however, was kept alive and placed inside a giant monster on the Planet Karn.

The Rani: A time Lady contemporary of the Doctor and the Master at the Prydon academy, a highly immoral chemestry genius who ruled the planet Miasimia Goria. An immoral scientist whose Tardis was much more advanced than the Doctor's or the Master's

The Valeyard: In reality an amalgam of the Doctor's potential future evil aspects. The Valeyard was the sixth Doctor's prosecutor during his trial. The valeyard was incredibly eloquent as a prosecutor. His ultimate goal in the trial was to destroy the doctor and steal his remaining regenerations. He was last seen escaping the time Matrix, disguised as its keeper and may well return to upset the doctor at some point.
