| DOCTOR HOLOGRAM |
|
|
Right, here is a tutorial I got from the internet for making a hologram. The original tutorial (or "tut") was originally used for STAR WARS but it looks similiar to the Doctor's hologram from "Parting of the Ways."

Below is what I created using an image of me and Photoshop.
1) Firstly I got my image of me and imported it into Photoshop. I then used the Magic Wand to erase the white background and set the background to transparent.
2) I then pressed CTRL + SHIFT + U to desaturise the picture (Image>Adjustments>Desaturate).
3) Now press CTRL+U to colorize the image. Apply these settings: (remember to check the Colourize tag)
(Make sure to tick the "Colorize" box)
Hue: 220
Saturation: 70
4) Change the opacity on the image to around 60%
5) Now make a new document 1x5 pixels and make fill the top pixel with black.
6) Click Edit>Define Pattern and save this pattern.
7) Now go back to the original document. Hold CTRL down while you click on the image layer.
8 ) Make a new layer and Click Edit>Fill and choose the pattern we made.
9) Move the layer with the lines ontop of the image and change opacity on it to 60% also.
10) Now go back to the image layer and add an outer glow in layer styles with these settings:
Opacity: 75%
Colour: White #FFFFFF
Size: 32
(Everything else is left as default)
11) Make a new layer and move it to the top. Then use the pen tool and changet he hardness to 0 (or use a shofter brush stroke)
12) The draw of the image using this colour: #99CCCC
13) Go to Filter>Blue>gausian Blur and move the cursor right to the end on the right hand side.
14) Change the opacity on the light ray layer to 45% and we should be done.
Below is what I came up with:
Let me know what you think and please try and show me your attempts[/url] _________________ "Correctamundo! A word I have never said before and hopefully never will again" The Doctor in 'School Reunion'

A couple of questions:
1) How do I get the images to come up so then I can show everyone what the tut is suppose to look like etc?
2) How do I change the site logo etc? I don't think I can but I'll try _________________ "Correctamundo! A word I have never said before and hopefully never will again" The Doctor in 'School Reunion'
