Well we all know Rose is leaving, dead or alive remains to be seen. I doubt they would kill her just incase she does decide to come back. I think perhaps maybe episode 3 may have some influence. Maybe she decides she doesnt wnt to be left by th doctor and chooses to leave instead. Or maybe after this so call Massive invasion, she chooses to stay with jackie?
But what about replacments....ideas people!!!!
1) Freema Agyeman is credited for a role (Adolea) in the episode, and the sun think she will be the new assistant.
2)Noel Clarke would be a good choice maybe....
3)Georgia Moffet would be my personal choice.

OK sooo the Cybermen are back but there is evidence is there suggesting so is a dalek. a black dalek..The evidence for this is that there was a black Dalek of the 2005 style at the BAFTA Awards, the Radio Times's comments above, and a clip in Totally Doctor Who showing the Radio Times taking a photoshoot including a Black Dalek and a Cyberman.
Story
The human race rejoices as the ghosts of loved ones return home in the latest adventure from the nation's favourite time traveller. But as the Doctor, Rose and Jackie investigate the Torchwood Tower, the whole of modern-day Earth threatens to fall to an almighty invasion force.
David Tennant plays the Doctor, Billie Piper plays Rose, Camille Coduri plays Jackie Tyler and Tracy Ann Oberman plays Yvonne Hartman.

The Geith invade Earth. But how did they find it so quickly? Where did they get the technology to travel to Earth from the other side of the Galaxy? And what does some unknown planet called Telos have to do with it?
Major war between Earth and the Geith, with Time and Space fracturing. The Cybermen have found a way to cross the parallel dimensions and, using the rift in Cardiff, and the Torchwood Institute, start an invasion of Earth. The Cybermen align themselves with the Geith. But will the Doctor and Rose be able to prevent the Earth's destruction, or will we have to wait until the 2006 Christmas special?!
Peter Tyler from the Parallel dimension episodes Rise of the Cybermen and The Age of Steel somehow finds a way to cross over into our dimension to warn the population of the impending attack.
Scenes: Cybermen appearing suddenly from behind sheets of plastic.
Jackie Tyler and one of the Torchwood Institute working to find out the Cybermen's plans.
The Doctor and some Torchwood staff being trapped behind sheets of plastic as the Cybermen advance.
Rose Tyler, played by Billie Piper, is likely to be sacrificed to save humanity. (Billie Piper leaves the series in this episode.)
A block of nothing but fans speculation...nothing more than that...

Peter Tyler will meet Jackie Tyler. They, obviously, fall in love and see this as a second chance to be with there deceased loved one. Once the 'human Rose' is dead, Jackie is ok with it because the 'dog Rose' dosen't cost as much to be fed...

Err Where are you guys getting all this info? Im struggling to figure out whats official and whats not. Has Billie Piper definately stated that she is to leave. I remember suggesting it and even posting a link to a story in the Mirror and quoting Sky news several months ago, and even then nothing was confirmable. Basically can someone please tell me where and when these statements were Made thanks.
Perhaps Elton might make a good companion if Rose does go. I reckon though rose will fall in with some bloke and wobble off to start a family with Dad and Jackie doing the baby sitting

During the trailer for this episode at the end of Fear Her, an invasion by Cybermen is revealed and characters from Alt-Earth can be seen "bleeding" into our world as strange, ghostly apparitions. A man is shown being struck by an energy ray that illuminates his body and lights up his skeleton in a manner identical to a Dalek gun, complete with the traditional sound effect, hinting that a Dalek, Daleks or their weaponry may be in the episode. The Rift from The Unquiet Dead and Boom Town is also mentioned. This runs through Cardiff, where Torchwood will be set. Torchwood Tower is seen in this preview. Rumours have been circulating for months, even before the start of Series 2, that the finale would feature the Cybermen and the Daleks or the Cybermen and the Gelth. 4

Based on this, i belive....Torchwood have been investigating the rift in cardiff, and accidently open the rift in time and space. People from parrelel earth are coming throught the rift (hence the ghosts as many people in alternative earth are not dead as they are on earth) as are the cybermen, who launch an invasion on earth.
There are gaps to be filled in there...

Hello there, great Ideas from the last two posts by Deako and TD. Very dangerous opening rifts and things. The two universes could possibly merge at the end of it all with room for a new timelord race of antimatter ohhhhhhhhhh getting excited already.
If the Daleks do come to battle with the cybermen at the end of the series then it would have to be the worst kept secret in television history, or at least since ,well since I have been watching the idiotīs Lantern.
hmmmmmmm. The last two eps coming up. What the heck are we going to do then?

in preview the daleks metioned the genesis ark....genesis is creation...davros has got to return surley!!!! that would be a colossal cliff hanger lol...
the cyberman also sed in the preview...."cybermen plus daleks, togehter we could upgrade the universe" but they were clearly fighting aswell.
i reckon there has got to be more void ships, and more daleks surley!!! perhaps in some weird way, it turns out that rose has created the new daleks rather than davros..
when as bad wolf she created them?

Todays BBC teaser trailer has the Daleks commenting on the Genesis Ark....could this mean the return of Davros, or that it contains the "last dalek" from the last series?

Today spoiler see's the doctor yelling "you might not see her again your own mother" at rose and rose reply "i said i would stay with you forever, so what can i do to help"
and there will only be 4 daleks and they will have names  truth!

Omg best episode yet. better then ever and saddest yet. I was in tears heartbreaking! I cnt belive that she has gone! but she didn't die and there is a chance there could be a hole for her to get through! but so could the daleks and cybermen!!! lol
Lovely ending though! Catherine Tate tee hee love her! come on christmas!

After some "dodgy" episodes mid series, the season ender was a real gem. It had highs, lows, laughter, tears, loss, & finding somebody who you thought was lost, and the first ever battle between Daleks and Cybermen as a sub-plot.

She may have appeared in the background of a scene in an episode but hasn't been formally recognised as a character on the series. Perhaps she was shopping for a wedding dress in the Christmas Invasion or in the "Rose" episode from series 1 when the autons "came alive".

Amazing episode!!! And Rose is gone... GONE!! And it was also a good way at getting rid of the entire cast, Mickey, Jackie, Pete, by sending them to a parallel universe!

yeah theyre gone forever i'm afraid but this gives the writer the chance to start again (make improvements based on his experience now, avoid repetition (i.e. repetitive episodes, etc))
