The Doctor

Episode 8- The Impossible Planet

I loved it, but i have been waiting for a different planet. I always prefer 2 parters though, more chance for a proper story. Creepiest bit had to be when toby was standing outside, just smiling.... Apparently the story features a face from the past....intriguing...
The Doctor

Oh yeah and the guy who played sutekh in tb era, is the voice of the beast, who apparently is satan. in the pyramids of mars, the doctor claimed sutekh means satan....

Could be the master, as i metioned the human view of the devil somewhere else...

But i belive that the writing looks like that if the Krillitanes from school reunion. looks like whne they were trying to crack the code...
Deako

Interesting... Could joel's avatar be making an appearance? Confused

yes Sutekh is a distinct possibilty if it has been leaked that a villan will come from th past then the big S is a good bet. Another villan rather good at manipulating black holes (as a kind of hobby) was Omega, however the Tardis I guess would probably be able to translate old High Gallifreyan. Intriguing stuff.

errrrrr. Something rather subtle has just ocurred to me. The beast (or his agent) sort of growled "dont turn around" .. "If you look at me you will die" ..... All very scary. But If the Beast had the power to kill everyone and actually wanted to do so then Why o why would such a beast want to warn anyone about anything? Two short suppositions:

1) If looking at the beast kills you then for some strange reason the beast wanted him alive....err to do What?

2) Perhaps looking at the Beast (or his agent or whatever it was) is actually harmful to the beast. Face your fear

Gotta go back and watch the pyramids of Mars. Sutekh where are you when we need you?

When in doubt, give Der Martin a shout Very Happy

I've just found this on Wikipedia...

The Beast claims that he has many names, among them Abaddon and Satan. Coincidentally, Gabriel Woolf, who provides the Beast's voice, played Sutekh the Destroyer in the 1975 serial Pyramids of Mars, an entity who was also said to have been named Satan.

Conclusion tonight anyway... We'll find out then!

Well that was an anticlimax wasn't it. The most unbeleivable episode yet....falling next to the Tardis, and being able to undo a seat belt when the capsule was open the a vacuum and (if it were real) a freezing temperature.....not impressed at all.
Deako

-- Yes but they did activate the emergency shield window after about quarter of a minute!

Well, I thought that was all explained quite clearly in the episode. The body of the beast was left in the planet, but Toby got possesed and carried it's mind to a safe new place. Or at least that was the plan untill Toby got blasted into outer space.
