LATEST NEWS!

I've just bought the latest issue of DWM and it states in an interview with RTD:

"...The one character that won't be making a comeback for the new series is Captain Jack Harkness. Well, for the first few episodes anyway. This is because we want to see how Rose responds to the Doctor's regeneration.

Jack is a 51st Century man and also an ex-Time Agent so he will be used to the fact that the Doctor regenerated and will spoil the interaction between Rose and the Doctor. That's why we have decided to leave him out for now..."
Sutekh The Destroyer

Yeah he is a smart guy RTD, i probably would have just killed jack off. but he's to smart for that...
Berethor

i've just got the dwm and it says that lady cassandra obrien dot delta seventeen will be back for the first episode of series 2. k9 and sjs will in episode 3
Zhord

You mean Cassandra is in the dodgey thin women from "The End of The World?" Didn't she die?
Deako

Rolling Eyes She dies the day the Earth does. But I think she used to have a life before then... Rolling Eyes
Zhord

Oh yeah, so it would be good to see her in an earlier form. However, I can't see her being killed off as she is meant to die in the future?
Berethor

that's just what it says in the magazine BTW there are three new 9th doctor books coming out:The Deviant Strain (Justin Richards), Only Human (Gareth Roberts) and The Stealers Of Dreams (Steve Lyons)
Der Martin

Cassandra O Brien is a definate flexible character with much interest, what with her being the Last Human Being and all. I realised she aparently died in the end of the world. Well..., she kind of dried up and blew away. Perhaps all she needs to regenerate is just a little moisture. She did seem pretty good at transmatting. Perhaps she just transmatted away at the last minute. A bit like the Doctor when he dematerialized in the Tardis just as the Dalek's missiles exploded in the spòt where the Tardis was in the last episode. I reckon it would be a twist to see Cassandra o Brien reappear in a more human, human form who is disgusted with herself for being so round (as in not flat), blames the doctor for her current status and plots her revenge against him. Just a thought.
Zhord

oooh, I like the idea of her plottin revenge on the Doctor, some thousands of years into the future! Very Happy

I think she did die as it would explain all the goo and peices and stuff when she exploded. But perhaps in the new series, we see her in a human form and does not die.. the Doctor kinda goes back in time (or forward from which way you look at it) and she happens to be there but doesn't die in the episode as she has to die in the future.
Der Martin

Oh no someone tell me it isn't true that Billie piper has quit as the Doctor's compànion. I just saw it on sky news. Damn. Blast and Bug**r. Pants!
Zhord

The Doctor Who website hasn't commented on anything so it may not be true.
Deako

Don't believe what you hear, especially if Sky is the source! Rolling Eyes
kat

they've been filming already so i wouldn't worry just yet
The Doctor

Be hard to write her out though, I feel, as she has a very strong bond with the doctor and i doubt that a girl like rose would give up that lifestyle. Never the less, they might have to find a way....
Deako

In todays cruel and merciless world she will probably be killed by the writers... Crying or Very sad
