Series 3 - Facts, Rumours and Idea's HEAVY SPOILERS

As I mentioned in a previous post (PICTURES OF DOCTOR AND MARTHA -started by Zhord) RTD says something about a sinister intelligence at work - THIS IS THE DALEKS

The Daleks are poised to do battle in New York in a forthcoming episode from the latest series of Doctor Who.
The two-parter will see the show's star David Tennant and new assistant Martha Jones, played by Freema Agyeman, face their famous foes in 1930s Manhattan.

"This time, their plan is the most audacious Dalek scheme yet! Even the Doctor finds himself out of his depth," said lead writer Russell T Davies.

Tennant and Agyeman will be joined on the show by Spooks star Miranda Raison.

Raison, who plays journalist-turned-spy Jo Portman in Spooks, will feature alongside Holby City's Hugh Quarshie and Ryan Carnes, of Desperate Housewives' fame

THIS IS AN OFFICIAL BBC RELEASE

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6211731.stm

The fourth and fifth episodes are a two-part story set in 1930s New York.[9][15] Guest stars in this story include Miranda Raison (as a showgirl), Hugh Quarshie (playing a character named Solomon), Ryan Carnes, Andrew Garfield, Eric Loren, Flik Swann, Alexis Caley, Earl Perkins, Peter Brooke and Ian Porter.[9][15][16][14] Some filming for this story was done in New York.[17]

So it looks like the Daleks appear in episodes four and five, and it is a black Dalek, presuambly the one that transported away in Doomsday, so Time Travel of the Dalek variety?

Lets discuss this...:p

Other news...
The titles of two episodes, Smith and Jones and The Shakespeare Code have been revealed. Christina Cole, Jalaal Hartley and Sam Marks appear in one or both of these episodes, filmed as a single block.

Ardal O'Hanlon and Jennifer Hennessy will appear in the third episode

The sixth episode will feature Thelma Barlow as a character named Lady Thaw, and Mark Gatiss as a scientist.[18][14] Gatiss's appearance will make him one of a select few to have both written for and acted in the show, and the first of the new series to do so.

Jessica Stevenson will play a character named Joan in episodes eight and nine, another two-part story

The tenth episode will guest star Carey Mulligan, Lucy Gaskell, Michael Obiora and Finlay Robertson

One story will feature an alien race named the Plasmavores (described as "blood sucking aliens").

British tabloids have regularly reported rumours about plot elements in the third series, many of which have been denied by official sources. The Daily Mirror claimed that the Ice Warriors would return; Russell T. Davies has denied this, but has confirmed that there will be "a couple of returning monsters" in Series 3.Similarly, the BBC and Davies denied an August report in The Sun that the Rani would return in this series, played by Zöe Lucker. (This claim was repeated by The Daily Record in November.) The Daily Star has reported that the third series finale will reveal that the Doctor has a son; this is supposedly intended to secure the future of the series if the Doctor dies after using up all of his regenerations. This has been denied by Davies and several other reliable sources

David Tennant and other cast memebers confirmed in an interview with Newsround that, obviously, Martha Jones replaces Rose as the Doctor's companion, they visit Elizabethan England, go to a hospital on the moon, go to to the year 5,000,000,043, even more distant planets and there is a monster from the past that NOBODY will be expecting to see again...

SMITH AND JONES

SMITH AND JONES
Doctor Who: The Inside Story indicates that this episode will feature the Judoon, described in a press release as "a clan of galactic stormtroopers".

Martha Jones is a medical student at the Royal New Hope Hospital in London. It's a normal day - until she meets an erratic patient called John Smith. She soon finds herself (and the whole hospital) in danger, and floating out into space. Now with the added threat of masked galactic stormtroopers, can John - now revealing himself as the Doctor - save everyone's lives, and uncover the Judoon's plans?

Appears to be things with Rhino Heads

Russell T Davies has indicated that the likeness between Martha and Adeola, a character who appeared and was killed in the Series 2 episode Army of Ghosts and was also played by Freema Agyeman, will be touched on subtly in this episode.

In the book Doctor Who: The Inside Story, a piece of concept art by Peter McKinstry shows a "burnt out" sonic screwdriver, with a caption suggesting that the Doctor's trusty tool may be damaged or destroyed in this episode

The South Wales Evening Post reported that in one episode, widely speculated as the first, an alien disguised as a motorcycle courier will transport a London hospital to the moon, leaving only a crater in its place; Swansea's Singleton Hospital was used to represent the hospital in filming.Speaking at the MOBO Awards, Freema Agyeman confirmed "aliens on the moon", and BBC One Controller Peter Fincham confirmed that Martha meets the Doctor when Royal Hope Hospital, where she works, is transported to the moon.

Reports say The Doctor and Martha will share chemistry, much like the Doctor and Rose did.

I hope not! It would just make it all seem so pointless us getting all sad, then him to just start with someone else. They need to have a spiey less flirtasious relationship. I am willing to give Martha a chance, but as long as they don't make The Doctor and her go into a big relationship.

THE SHAKESPEARE CODE

The story is set in 1599 London, and will involve William Shakespeare "giving the performance of his life in order to save the Earth from destruction."

Shakespeare has appeared in Doctor Who before and the Doctor has also indicated that they have met off screen in the past. He was previously glimpsed in the Time/Space Visualiser in The Chase; in Planet of Evil, the Doctor mentioned having met Shakespeare before; and in City of Death he claimed that he helped transcribe the original manuscript for Hamlet. RTD says he will ignore this, as he doesn't think it is relevant.

OTHER EPISODES

Judging by the trailer, Arnold O'Hanlan looks like a Cta Nun, but a man one, and he appears to be flying a plane??? In addition i swear the Pig form aliens of london was in the trailer being chased by a farmer....
Der Martin

No news on the FOB then?? who appeared in the trailers. Err yeah the cta pilot was also dressed rather similarly to a certain Jack Sparrow errr no I mean Harkness yes Harkness that was the Fellow. Didn't RTD mention somewhere tha he would also reappear at the end of series 3??

The Black Dalek (I think) was one of the four Daleks of the Clan of Skaro whose job it was to imagine all things generally impossible. Then a quick errrrrrr question not much to do with the series.

Did shakespeare actually enact anything at the globe theatre?? I remenber reading an awful lot about the man many years ago and I think the general train of thought was that although he wrote and produced plays that were therein enacted I'm not sure that history tells us that he ever played a role himself on stage? If he didn't then this post might qualify for another type of Spoiler.

Nice work Mr. Doctor Man Smile thanks for that
The Doctor

I'm not sure about shakespear I don't think he ever acted inn his plays....

FOB i havent heard anything...

Jack will be in the last two episodes of the series possibly the last 3 or 4...

The cats appear to early in the series to be connected with jack i think...
The Doctor

UPDATE

O'Hanlon will play a feline alien similar in appearance to the Sisters of Plenitude from New Earth. This episode will be set on New Earth.

Episodes eight and nine are a two-part story set in a boys' school in 1913. In this story, Jessica Stevenson will play Nurse Joan Redfern, the school's matron. The story is by Paul Cornell, whose 1995 Doctor Who novel Human Nature is set in a boys' school in 1914, and also features a character named Joan Redfern. The television story will feature monsters called "Jack Straws".

The tenth episode will guest star Carey Mulligan, Lucy Gaskell, Michael Obiora and Finlay Robertson. This episode will be the 2007's "Doctor-lite" episode, similar to 2006's "Love & Monsters".

DALEKS IN MANHATTEN

Daleks in Manhattan is the working title of an episode of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It will be broadcast in Spring 2007 and is the fourth episode of Series 3 of the revived Doctor Who series. It will also be the first two-parter of the series.

BBC news has confirmed (as did the preview trailer at the end of The Runaway Bride) that the Daleks will be back, and that "their plan is the most audacious Dalek scheme yet! Even the Doctor finds himself out of his depth." It will be set in the 1930's in, as the title suggests, New York City.

The teaser trailer shown at the end of The Runaway Bride features a black Dalek, which many fans have speculated is Dalek Sec of the Cult of Skaro, last seen temporally shifting itself to escape being sucked into the Void at the end of Doomsday. Also briefly seen are shadows cast on the floor beside the black Dalek which resemble Dalek eyestalks and manipulator arms, implying that there are other Daleks present in the same scene.

The Lazarus Experiment

The Lazarus Experiment is an episode of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It will be broadcast in Spring 2007 and is the sixth episode of Series 3 of the revived Doctor Who series. It will star David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor and Freema Agyeman as his assistant Martha Jones.

The episode will focus on a 76-year-old scientist (played by Mark Gatiss) who has developed a device that makes him look younger. Thelma Barlow also stars as a villain named Lady Thaw.
The Doctor

The Family of Blood

The Family of Blood is an episode of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It will be broadcast in Spring 2007 and is the ninth episode of Series 3 of the revived Doctor Who series. It will be the second episode of a two-part story. Rumours have long suggested that this story may be an adaptation of writer Paul Cornell's Doctor Who novel Human Nature, published by Virgin Publishing as part of their Virgin New Adventures series; the inclusion of several characters of the same names as those in Human Nature in Cornell's new story suggests these rumours may be correct. In 'Jo Whiley visits Doctor Who' it was confirmed that some filming was taking place in a village hall.
The Doctor

Utopia

Utopia is an episode of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It will be broadcast in Spring 2007 and is the eleventh episode of Series 3 of the revived Doctor Who series. This episode marks the return of Jack Harkness.

Jack was last seen vanishing to the sound of TARDIS engines at the end of the Torchwood episode End of Days.
