Please understand that I know they will not be in series 2. I was just asking for your ideal time to see them again.

I hope the Daleks return in Series 3 but not that often. Then it could lead up to a big story line in Series 5 or sumfin. The Daleks shudnt be wiped out again and shud only return now and again.

i agree with you chaps, series 2 (even if we didn't knwi they weren't in it) would be too soon and there's so much other stuff to cover, but maybe another 2 parteer in series 3 that gets left open, there's nothing like a brooding dalek hoard

Series 3 If they put them in 2, we'd all get sick of them and they would'nt have the "hide-behind-your-sofa" effect.

If Jack is still travelling with The Doctor when they next meet the Daleks, how do you think he would feel?
He would probably go on a killing rampage with a gun so big that it dosen't deserve to be brought down to the rank of 'gun'!

I don't think Jack will see Daleks again. Most of the Doctor's assistants last around two series (if not that) and if they do bring the Daleks back, it won't be for a while. So, most probably Jack will leave next series (unless RTD knows that Jack is popular and decide to keep him on).
So, unless they dedicate next series to Jack for finding his missing memory, how many of you would like to see a spin-off of Captain Jack when he does leave (unless RTD decides to kill him off )

jack is going to be killed off in season 2, i have no doubt.
also im sure they will make him an enemy of the new dr.
daleks....... season 3, can't have them in series 2 to repetative.
also i dont think they will come back like they did in season 1.
does anybody know wether or not the daleks still exsist in the past, i know when something is killed in the past its as if it was never born. but what happens when your killed in the future, surely you are still born! could the dr go back in time to skaro and visit davros, the daleks, the kaled, and the thal.

The thing about Daleks is that since Doctor Who started, they have come onto screens, been wiped out, then made a come back, then wiped out...
... Considering they make a come every so often makes everyone still fascinated that the Daleks can not (and never will) be defeated and destroyed. They will always find a way back.
This could be the same for the Master.
In Series 2, however, I can't see the Master returning as well as K9 as well as Sarah Jane Smith as well as the Cybermen. RTD will probably concentrate on one major enemy per season, so next series is the Cybermen then maybe the Master.
Once all of the major enemies have appeared can RTD show them at the same time in a same series.

May Jack's two missing years be the years that he's been stuck on the game station before the Doctor and Rose come back for him. How exactly those years will disappear from his memory, I wouldn't know, but that the Doctor appears to be responsible could turn him into an enemy, maybe.
But right, we were talking Daleks...
Point is that Rose dematerialised the Dalek fleet and scattered the molecules off into time and space. But it's nowhere clear that she destroys them in more than one point of time, so in the past there could still be some daleks left. For a single creature it's easy to hide in the vast infinity of time and space, so they're never really extinct. But bringing them back in series 2 or 3 will be too soon. They will become annoying and maybe even boring.

Yes, it was the the Emporer. But he's bigger than a normal Dalek! The Dalek from Dalek is stupid, regular-sized and (I think) DEAD! He commited suicide for God' sake. He beliveved that his race was dead! He couldn't telepirt to them... HE'S DEAD
Let's think about it. A machine built for exterminating says it will kill itself and then does something that looks like a lot like it's killing itself! (And people say Im daft. Honestly *tuts*!)

the emporer of the daleks is just a regular dalek.... as far as we know.... so it is logical to think that any dalek has the ability to improvize and recreate it's race. i don't think the dalek in dalek could have any more significance. but who knows them daleks are a shifty bunch.

I think that the Dalek in Dalek was only in the series to introduce the new viewers to the Dalek race... And to show off some cool speial effects. Exterminate!

Since Adam has a vast knowledge of time since seeing the tardis, maybe he could pull the dalek throught time?

i don't think so. remember he doesn't remember any of the info he downloaded at sat 5. and he can't use his chip to interface with any computer in his time..... i think the doctor will find himself in a situation where he needs adam's chip, the he'll go and find him.

As far as we know, the Dalek from "Dalek" killed itself. But the thing is, on TV, when someone kills themself, there is an explosion, eg Predator, Terminator etc. But, we all know that its dead.
However, when asked if the Daleks would be brought back, RTD sais that it would be difficult to bring them back after Rose turns them into dust, then perhaps RTD could use the excuse of saying that the Dalek from "Dalek" does teleport back and does recreate the Dalek race.
Also, if that idea doesn't work, then RTD could use the Adam idea. I think both would work tho.

i think we all know that RTD intended for the dalek from dalek to be dead. and the imploding thing was just meant to be cool, and interesting. wether or not he will use the latest fan speculations to bring it back, we'll just have to wait and see.
i think we give too many great storylines away free, but then again im sure RTD doesn't need us to come up with ideas for him.

The Dalek from Dalek died in "sickness". As I see it, it was suffering from human compasion, a feeling hitherto unbeknown to dalekkind. It was also on the point of mutating into something new. It was also looking for orders from a leader so as to put paid to his unbearable existential crisis.
Rose's orders ..."Ok, do it then" seem a little unorderlike to me in the end. But anyway there is a definate comparison and slightly grey area in episode 13. The doctor mentions that the daleks are insane. They also have a sense of blasphemy, a very human concept definately born out of existential issues.
In my view, although it is certainly not clear that the Dalek from "Dalek" is the emperor or had anything to do with the race of daleks discovered in ep 13, the theory that they were developed from the last Dalek would make sense to me just as much as the theory that the original Emperor dalek's ship fell through time to somewhere else not related to Utah in the U.S.A.
