The trick is to just get inside the kids heads! Make them do what you wantthem too. -- However, just be careful they on't try the same thing on you!
And; if all else fails; take them to the naughty step!
Btw, what age group are you planning on teaching?
Good luck whatever happens,

Years 1 and 2 mixed class, so i've got all the Year 2s that are aiming for the lowest acceptable level for their SATs coming up and a mix of Year 1s but mostly higher end
For those non-england and wales people Year 1 is 5-6 year olds and Year 2 is ages 6-7 so the majority of my class were born in 99, two in 98 and seven in 2000 _________________ "look, i'm busy resonating concrete"

Oh right! You could get them all doing diabolical computer programming like on episode 3!
"Come on class first one to overcome the slow loading speeds and get past the default firewall only to be told they have committed an ilegal action, then reboot the computer and find and delete all the infected files in C: drive, then go and re-delete the ones that can't be deleted, then get past another Firewall to open up Norton Virus Scan, then get it to preform a scan util it gets 98% through and re-starts as schedualed, the gets a digestive and a glass of non-skimmed dehydrated lactated goat milk!" _________________ Three English teams in the CL Semi-Finals!

well, i'm nearly 3 weeks in and have a mild flu like thing i got sent home yesterday lunchtime becuase i "sounded terrible" so i'm spending today drinking lots of fruit tea, relaxing (much needed) and getting ahead on my planning so i don't have to work quite so hard over the weekend
i had an observation on monday which means someone from uni comes and watches me teach, she said my lesson was fine but wanted to see more planning in advance, and by that i mean coming in on monday with your lessons for friday planned, hence the extra work this week.
i have to say i'm a bit glad i'm ill, i have been pretty much constantly exhausted since i started, not much fun to be around and i miss my kitchen!! plus it gives me a chance to really get into what i'm going to teach next week
at the minute i'm in two minds as to whether i'm really cut out for this job, but the only way i'm going to find out is by getting this placement finished, so i'd better stop slacking off and get some work done today _________________ "look, i'm busy resonating concrete"

Or you could just spend the entire weekend on the forums and have the children 'teach themselves'!
Get well soon, btw. _________________ Three English teams in the CL Semi-Finals!

well, that's the end of that chapter
my mentor and i came to the same decision separatly, i'm not cut out for teaching
as of yesterday lunchtime we stopped my placement, i'm having a bit of a break to get my head sorted out and to do all the house work that's been mounting up!!
i feel quite positive about this though, and i feel quite confident in the skills i know i have, just gotta find a job where i can use them
oh, and i don't have flu anymore _________________ "look, i'm busy resonating concrete"

As a "Case Handler", i now officially handle cases (no i'm not jazzing up the job of baggage handler) I work for a solicitors firm and will start off dealing with naughty people who take out buy-to-let mortgages and then don't pay their repayments, then once i've got that i'll be put onto more complicated cases like where someone with a mortgage has died and stuff like that
a comlicated job, but they think i'm up to it
